i scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream

Just finished the weekend at the Glengarry Highland Games in Maxville, Ontario and the Ottawa Farmers’ Market at Lansdowne Park on Sunday.  

Two of our favorite events in one weekend…the weather and masses of happy people couldn’t have been better.   62 pipe and drum bands, about 1400 people, playing and marching together, gives this Spud’ead goose bumps!

                                                                                                                                                                                              This Sunday is the First Annual Ice Cream Festival at Canada’s Agricultural Museum at the Central Experimental Farm in Ottawa.

There will be ice cream, cow to cone, milking, gelato and yoghurt, bees, and firesafety demos…plus The Hot Potato Co. will be scooping ice cream, squeezing fresh lemonade and baking spuds and wedges.

So come out and learn all about the connection between ice cream and farming!
